About Me

I relocated to Portland from San Francisco in 1996. After a career in advertising and high-tech publishing, I moved to Portland for its unique quality of life. I founded the Portland East chapter of Mothers & More in 1997. I am dedicated to helping families move into neighborhoods with great schools. I previously was a member of the Early Childhood Care & Education Council. Now an empty nester, I've embarked on a new adventure renovating a 1978 split level.

When I'm not obsessing over houses, you'll find me planning my next road trip, creating flips and flops in the kitchen, or reading (and often writing) the Great American Novel.

What "green" means to me

I received my EcoBroker certification in January of 2007. Green building makes good economic sense. It means more energy-efficient homes. It means healthier environments to raise families. It means a kinder, gentler impact on our resources. As a Certified EcoBroker, I'm reminded that every choice I make can make a difference. Keep a green bough in your heart and the singing bird will come. This proverb defines who I am, how I live, and how I treat my clients.

My education as a real estate professional never stops.

In November 2008, I received my Certified Residential Investment Specialist Designation. What this means to you is that I have been trained to evaluate income-producing properties and can guide you in making informed decisions. I'm a true believer that investing in real estate is not the same as speculating in real estate. I believe that as a steward of your trust, my mission is to help you make investments that have long-term returns and will help you grow your personal portfolio of wealth.

The Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC), an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®, to real estate practitioners who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria. In 2010, I joined ranks with other other ABR specialists committed to brining excellence to the buying experience.

In 2011, I added my Certiifed Distressed Property Expert designation. Why, you might ask? There’s an old saying, “Bad Things Often Happen to Good People.” In a fluctuating economy, we are unfortunately seeing this become more and more true. I have countless friends and clients who have lost their jobs, are working more hours for less money, battling health issues that prevent them from being gainfully employed and are finding it more and more difficult to put food on the table for their families, let alone pay their mortgages.  As a trained CDPE, my goal is to help homeowners prevent foreclosure and restore stability and sanity to their lives.
